Well, first of all, my mom was hogging the computer all weekend, so I couldn't communicate for eons. Even though I didn't leave any comments, I had so much fun at the nap-a-thon and seeing everybody! I wasn't even sure I was going to make it, because my special transport crow wasn't all that good with directions and I wasn't too sure I could remember how to think myself there. But I definitely agree that we should make this an annual event. Maybe next year I'll tell my sibs about it and they can come along. Maybe next year we'll travel by Olivia's kangaroo!
Now, about the hooligans. Something happened yesterday afternoon that got Mom and me all upset. First, we all heard a noise that got us wound up. Mom investigated but just thought a branch had fallen on the roof, since that sometimes happens in the wind. Anyway, at dusk Mom went out to check something in the yard and she made the discovery. Somebody had thrown a great big old rock, and do you know where? At my pet hawks' nest! Mom found about two-thirds of it destroyed and on the ground. She also found the rock which had hit the roof and rolled off. She was pretty upset that anyone would do such a thing. And me too!
Now, I don't know if my pets would come back to the home they built, but if they wanted to, now they'd have to rebuild. I just wonder what those rock-throwing kids would do if some giant bird wrecked their house.
Sounds like someone needs a big spanking....
ReplyDeleteAfter seeing what William can do to an envelope of cat nip, I vote we roll the kids around in catnip and let the cats have at 'em!
ReplyDeleteit's really sad that somebody would do such a mean thing. i hope your birds come back and make a new nest.
ReplyDeleteThat is terrible! People are so mean. They have no respect for nature and other creatures. Hopefully, they will rebuild it.
ReplyDeleteWe're all for the spanking. That's what Mom said her bean kids would get for doing something like that. (Not to mention that they coulda broke one of your windows in the process!!)
ReplyDeleteGrrrr.
ROARRRRRR. I am mad. Bad people.
ReplyDeleteTell your mum the next time she hears a noise to check right away. Then call the cops! People like that need to be held responsible.
Children are such nasty little beasts!
ReplyDeleteThose hooligans need to be taught a lesson. I suggest you catch them, tie them up, and let the ever-hungry Caroline snack on them...
ReplyDeleteKids!!! Who would want one when they can have kitties, anyways? Those kids need the bite put on them!!
ReplyDeleteThis is just terrible. We agree with Derby. Your Mom should report this vandalism to the police. Maybe they can patrol the area and watch your yard closer to catch the hooligans reponsible. Hope your birds come back.
ReplyDeleteI can not stand ill-behaved kids! I say you should give them a firm swat on the leg and a stern talking to!
ReplyDeleteHiss if you must...they deserve it!
Argh! Whoever did that - oh, man that ticks us off! Hope your pets are okay and re-build their home. Keep an eye out, William - you'd make a great witness.
ReplyDeleteBuzzerbee & meep
I'm glad you made it to the nap-a-thon, William! You're tiny enough that you can hang on to me next time if you need to. I'm kinda a big kitty, but not big as Fat Eric. He's awful impressively big!
ReplyDeleteCan we all throw hairballs at those kids if they come back? Mommy agrees that kitties are better than kids. That's why she has all us 5 kitties living here but no kids! Smart Mommy! (Mommy said I had to say that some kids are very nice, so I'm sayin it. Under Protestin!)
That is so mean! I am very hissy now. I wish all of us could go on patrol and find those bullies and then scratch and bite them!!
ReplyDeleteYet anotehr reason why we cats should be in charge and people should be our minions. We would never be that mean. Sheesh.
ReplyDelete(ok my People are never that mean, but still. We should be in chage.)
