Alien In The House.

There was a strange man in the house this afternoon. We all ran away when the doorbell rang. Well, except for my mom, of course. And I finally came out, too. I was kinda hoping it was Dr. Grissom about the bird mystery, but it wasn't. I didn't know who this was, but he did have a wiggly metal thing that he put in different places on the floor and then made it zip right up again. He walked all around doing this. I love wiggly metal things but they scare Olivia, who got her tail all in a puff, and especially Eddie, who wound up hiding under the comforter. What a pair of babies.

So it was me alone who figured out that he was doing. He was measuring for our new carpet! Mom says it will still be a bit before we get it, but I can hardly wait!

I wonder if I'll be able to help...I bet I will!
