It's All Relative.

Every once in a while Mom comes home from hunting all agged out–kind of like Eddie gets when I want to play with him real bad and he DOES. NOT. WANT. TO. PLAY.

She gets all animated and talks a lot about hunting when this happens, and since we don't really understand a lot of what she's saying, we just follow her cautiously from room to room and let her talk out her aggravation until she's done. I'd suggest that she get some catnip or bite on some cardboard or tear apart a roll of TP or something but I know she probably wouldn't do any of that, so I just wait.

It's when I hear the conclusion "Why can't we just be rich?" that I get to finally put my two cents in. I jump up on the table and get right up close. After touching her nose with mine and then walking back and forth against her face, I tell her we have lots and lots of food, a warm and safe home, a million cool toys and each other. How could we be anything but rich?

And then...I get a hug and a hundred kisses for that!

  1. My Mommy says you are very wise Wm and I agree that is all you need. ~Merlin

  2. William you am a very smart poodie for doing that. Oh, and you made my Mommy cry a'cause she sometimes says the same thing.

  3. Timmy, I hope you kissed your mommy all better. It really works!

Wowee meowee.
