One of the things my mom and aunt and uncle did last week was visit
Bosque Del Apache National Wildlife Refuge. Because it's still kinda hot here, most of the wildlife was hiding from the heat when they got there. But they did manage to see some ducks and a great blue heron on the water. Did they bring back one of those for me? NO.
I could have had a new pal and everything!
So thoughtless!! You could have had your very own fowl. but nooooo....
ReplyDeleteYou probably wouldn't have been happy once it got home anyways!
ReplyDeleteWe know you're a great hunter, Izzy, but herons can be formidable enemies, with those long spearing beaks ! Better everyone got left where they were !
ReplyDeleteSorry they didn't bring one home for you. XO
ReplyDeleteHey Izzy?? Come visit me! We have ducks and herons here and we could have a real good time. ~Ernie
ReplyDeleteGeez, humans never think of us kitties when they are out.
ReplyDeleteNot fair that they didn't bring a new friend back for you.
ReplyDeleteSheesh!! They should have brought you something!
ReplyDeleteEven a heron stuffie would be fun :)

Fortunately for the ducks, they can't be removed from the wildlife preserve. But there's no excuse for the humans not stopping to pick up a can of duck cat food for you.
ReplyDeleteOr at least a nice tail feather right. Geez
ReplyDeleteIzzy, you'll just have to dream about chasing birdies!
ReplyDeleteUm, yesssss, a new Pal. Izzy...well, I'll just text you on your iPawd.
