What I'll Miss.
I love the fall too but with it comes the migration of my hummingbird friends. Already there are fewer and fewer of them at our feeders. I'm going to miss their coming right up to the glass door to say hello to me.
But do you know what's really curious? We haven't seen a boy hummingbird in weeks! We don't remember that ever happening before. Have any of you noticed the same thing?

Actually we haven't seen ANY hummies this summer - we just have flowers they like, but the flowers were late. They are probably still around, but not around us.

We don't have any feeders for hummers up because my human is worried she would not be able to keep them up properly. She doesn't want to make them sick and she knows she is lazy and forgetful! So we are lucky when they happen by our house. Which does happen.

Me and mum saw a hummer yesterday, but they will be gone soon. Lots of the other summer birds are already gone.

Mommy sees the boys come in first week of April. Then a week later the girls arrive. First to leave last August to mid Sept. are the boys...the girls stay will let September to first week of August.Mommy was out of circulation due to computer probs. Sorry we missed you.
