Remember Me Thursday.

Our mom has been managed by twelve cats in her adult life. Of those, eight were shelter adoptions, including Bingle, her very first cat. Bingle was adopted from the Providence Animal Rescue League in 1975.

We understand that she had to talk her landlady into letting her get a cat, and we're sure glad she did! Everything cat fell into place after that, even before we were born. That's how we got here.

We wish that every cat could be so lucky to find a forever home of their own.

  1. How wonderful to meet Bingle! What a pretty cat too :)
Mum's 1st cat when she got her own place was a very long haired black cat called Reuben. She got him from a pet store. Turns out he had Feline Leukemia and passed away at 5 years.
That is a good reason people should adopt from shelters!
Thank you for sharing Bingle with us :)

  3. I think this is the first time that I've seen a photo of Angel Bingle; look at her white muzzle! Spay, neuter, and rescue...yay!

  6. Bingle--what a great name! And Izzy, I don't really think those Hummers were visiting you. On purpose anyway.

Tell your Mom to check her email. There's a scary little story but it turns out okay we think!

  10. I, too, wish that every cat could find their forever home quickly. I'm still grateful to these two dingleberries who adopted me, even at my ripe old age.

  11. Oh what a beautiful girl! And that smoochable muzzle just sends mom off toward wishes she had known and smooched that pretty girl! I never get jealous. We cats do that to our family and those who look upon us.

  12. Awww...the housekeeper got her cat back in the 70s, too and the little calico even went to college with her. I was a stray and I think adopted kitties are always extra special, anyway. - Tom x
