PeeEss: About your comments on Tillie;s post Sunday. You are SO right that some kitties are harder to let go of. Hard as it is to accept, I cannot imagine losing 2 sweeties in such a short time. Hugs for you! I think Tillie and Russell are good friends now. She did like the company of other cats,especially JJ. JJ is a relaxed boy with a nice purrsonality. Russell is so cute how could she not like him ;) the mom
Happy blogoversary! I took some time to get to know my family but then I settled in. I hope that Charlotte's initial fears are just about finding her own place.
Give Charlotte time to adjust. Maybe she isn't used to other cats. At least from the top of the fridge, she can see everything and probably feels more confident than she did under the bed.
Poor Charlotte, it must all be so strange for her. Mommy thinks the top of the fridge is a GOOD sign...it's a way-up space so that will give her vertical "confidence". We kitties learn by observation and she can watch to her heart's content up there. Torties are so stubborn about making a decision, so be plenty patient and double it!
What a wonderful anniversary to celebrate, William! We've been reading you for years, and wish you many, many more! And please don't be sad that Charlotte appears afraid; she has to get her bearings and needs to feel safe; be a good brother and send her sweet William meows of encouragement!
congrats on 9 years! we had to go back to catch up on the news about Charlotte.....we are glad you are giving her a new home and know she will get lots of love and patience as she adapts to a new home. Happy 2014!

Try getting Charlotte a calming collar. I just bought one for my kitty because she was stressed out by the other one chasing her all the time. They work!! Seriously, she is much happier. Bought it at the pet store--it is just a purple collar that smells really, really good. Also, I plugged in one of those pheromone diffusers to chill everyone in the house. They work, believe it or not.
My mom liked this suggestion and got the purple collar. She's not been able to even get it on Charlotte yet--Charlotte got quite trollified with the whole thing and Mom decided to let it rest for a bit. We'll keep our paws crossed!

Concats on your blogoversary! Your blog was the first one we started following when our mom began blogging. Charlotte's move to the top of the fridge sounds like progress to us. It's better than hiding, and she can get used to all the new sights and sounds from a safe place. Catty New Year!!
Meow William what a great anniversary! We are in our second year so need to follow in your pawsteps Our Miss Fitz is still a bit wary of us Man-Cats so give her time and space, be nice and she will come around.
Charlotte, you are gloriously beautiful. I so wish you would be able to integrate into the family, Poor girl..and poor family who is also trying so hard.
