Dia de los Muertos.

I'm getting ready for the Day of the Dead, a celebration to remember and honor loved ones who have passed. It's not a sad day, it's a good day. I'm all ready to welcome the spirits but I think I'll have to have Mom help with the ofrendas (altars). We'll have photos, flowers, incense, little skeletons and treats.

Well, maybe little cat toys and treats.

Anyway, if you're not familiar with this celebration, this is a good place to learn about it.

  1. Hello William!
Thanks for visiting my blog. I don't get a lot of traffic ... mostly comments from Marilyn MonREOW and a few friends of Jeter. My mom was talking to her class about Day of the Dead! I'll have to read more about it. I do know that it's not a sad day.

  2. I wonder if the spirits of your two dinosaur buddies will visit. Do you have dinosaur treats as well as kitty treats for them?

  8. Here I am! Welcome me! My staff had an altar with shrimp offerings out, I appreciated that!
    And I Dare You!
Yes, It is ME, Anastasia! Karl was thoughtful enough to put the Dare out on the Day of the Dead, so I can come personally! And if you don't accept the challenge, I might just come again and haunt you, Hahahahahahahahaha!

  9. I think my mom is getting senile. She forgot all about Dia de los Muertos. The last two years she and dad made little skulls out of clay and colored them with markers. Maybe I can find a picture and post it on my blog.
