My mom's at it again. There are two baby birds in a tree near one of our windows and I guess this is supposed to be a big deal. Mom says it's the third time someone's used that nest for eggs but only the first time the eggs didn't fly to the ground in one of our typical wind storms.
I really doubt this is cause for my mom to go to the open window and say "Hi dove!" and "How are your babies?" fifty times a day though.
Hey, even Moms have to have fun I guess!
ReplyDeleteHumans are amused by the strangest things.
ReplyDeleteHumans are weird, Ivan. Sometimes you just gotta put up with them.
ReplyDeleteIvan, you and Izzits obviously aren't causing enough trouble to keep your mom occupied!
ReplyDeleteWe have lots of birdies in the yard. They are always around the feeders, but we don't know where they live. The only birdie nests TBT has ever found are a Robin nest (by the egg color) and a hummingbird nest in a cedar sapling he was about to cut down. He says THAT cedar will never be disturbed.
ReplyDeleteWe like the hummers ourselfs too. They are too fast to ever catch, so we just admire them.
You have to humour humans, Ivan!
ReplyDeleteHumans do have weird habits.
ReplyDeletedood…uh……
ReplyDeleteok then
heerz hopin yur weekend iz grate and ….fish filled ❤️😺‼️
We had a blue jay build a nest in our front porch light...the babies have flown now so we can open and use the front door again. Although it was sort of funny for us kitties to see the birds dive bomb our human when they weren;t after us.
ReplyDeleteWE have parakeet siblings INSIDE the house, and sometimes we forget that they exist.

Mom was thinking really and truly this very morning she said, as she waited for the hummingbird to finish drinking at the feeder before she opened the mini blinds. To do otherwise would have made him leave. Same with me. Mom aways~ as do a whole buncha other pawrents, waits till I am finished with her chair... and gets an old wooden footstool to sit on here at the computer when I am in her office chair. She won't go in the bathroom while she waits for me to finish drinking...and so on...
ReplyDeleteRaising humans takes a lot of patience. ;D
