I'm scoping out a place to spend the evening, far from any windows and the upcoming noise. Why, last night about 2:00 a.m. some pea brain decided to set something off in the diversion channel behind us! It scared all of us awake, including Mom, who said it sounded more like a car bomb than a firecracker. Even she had to calm down before falling asleep again.
Maybe we can hide in the pantry tonight. Lots of food, lots of shelves—sounds perfect to me!
I hate fireworks too, and I only have two legs.
ReplyDeleteI hate fireworks...mommy does too and I wish they all went to outer space! I'm sorry all of you went through that.
ReplyDeleteElliott, the pantry sounds pawsome and safe.
ReplyDeleteJust tell your mum to bring all the blankies and pillows!
Have a safe and as quiet a celebration as you can!!
Happy 4th of July!

Why do some humans have to be so stoopid?? We hope you get some quiet tonight, Elliott. Happy 4th!
ReplyDeleteit’s horrible, they’ve been going off here for hours and it wasn’t even close to dark. Idiots!
ReplyDeleteSome humans are rude. I hope tonight is quieter. XO
ReplyDeleteawww, so sorry kitties. Good thing it's only twice a year this thing right?

They kept up the fireworks until after midnight, and Angel stayed in her safe place in the linen closet. On my neighborhood walk, I was glad to get back inside, 'cause they started up early!
ReplyDeleteIt was pretty noisy around here, but the fireworks all sounded pretty far away, so nobody here got upset. Nobody meaning me and my human - Boodie can't hear anything!

We hope you had a great holiday and that there weren't too many loud bangs last night. Some are just to out of control loud for no reason. Thanks for the share. Have a wonderful day.

nasty fireworks. We hope it is quieter tonight.
ReplyDeleteMum is thankful that the people who make the noisy fire boomers stop at a decent hour.
ReplyDeleteBelated happy 4th July! I hope it wasn't too stressful after the earlier fright.
ReplyDeleteThe durn thunderstorm with its lightning made a bigger noise than any firecracker. I was missing a bejesus after that one! - Tom x
ReplyDeleteThey were going off all around us here, but the noise doesn't bother me much. I'm used to loud blasts and such what with mom and dad walking around tooting and all without a care in the world.
ReplyDeleteMarley hides UTB, Ayla lays on the bed. I sit around on TBTs lap though. Safest place in the house to MY mind. ~ IZA
ReplyDeleteWe really hate the banging and booming things!
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful weekend...
