We had some wild weather over the weekend.
The winds really cranked up on Saturday and persisted through the night. It was loud and scary.
Sunday morning, we learned our dove nest was wrecked and the lady dove was gone.
And so were her little eggs.
I has a sad.
Oh no! We are so sorry about the eggs.

ReplyDeleteOh Izzy! You have such compassion, and I really feel badly for the dove parents.
ReplyDeleteNature can be so cruel in human eyes. Meanwhile, Mother Dove is probably already starting another nest.
ReplyDeleteI hate baby bird season. :( It has such joys...and such sadness. Doves are HORRIBLE nest builders. I'm sorry about the birdies. She may come back again....
ReplyDeleteAww, Izzy, I'm sorry your bird friend's nest was blown down and the eggs were lost It's early in the season, so maybe they'll make another nest and still have some babies.
