Balloon-Free.

So we saw no hot air balloons at all this weekend. Not even far far away! Mom said they probably drifted west and south. I was pretty disappointed because I still want a ride in one of those things. I still have six more days for chances, I guess.



But do you know what? For the first time ever, on Saturday evening Mom saw seven out of the eight gas balloons in the America's Challenge Gas Balloon Race*! It was a fluke that she did, since what first caught her attention was a light moving in the distance. When she went out to the balcony to check it out, she realized what it was...then saw another, and another, then three more! Then, there was one that floated very close to us! In the darkness, she thought it was thrilling to see those softly glowing orbs silently drifting in the sky.
