Did you know that it's the Feast of St. Francis of Assisi today? We bet you probably know that St. Francis is the patron saint of animals, but did you know that this day is celebrated all over the place and by people (and their animals) of all faiths as well? We're going to celebrate by FEASTING!
I wouldn't mind a CheezIt or nine to start, if you're listening.
Mommy's church always have a blessing of the animals celebrating this feast. We both went one time only because it gets too stressful for us. One time some human brought a big snake to church to be blessed, among the many doggies there.

I did know that. My church used to do a blessing for the animals.
ReplyDeleteMy human and I know about the Easter Blessing of the Animals at Olvera Street downtown, but we always forget about the one in October! Which is a bummer, because there are a couple of places not far from us that had nice ones the weekend before this year.
ReplyDeleteThen this is a very impawtant day. We had no idea.
ReplyDeleteAmen. We second that emotion too.
ReplyDeleteCaroline, I hope that St. Francis granted your wish for a CheezIt or two!
