Excitement Central.

Well, aside from the ferocious winds that we had for several days, we had our first bird-flying-into-the-window event of the season this morning. That startled everybody, including the dumb dove who did it (and flew away, uninjured). You should have seen Ivan bouncing all around trying to figure out what had happened!

We also had the first bird sighting on the balcony! But he left a present on the corner of the wall and my mom said he was no longer welcome. We know, though, that birds are not very good with following orders. We're sure he or maybe his pals will be back to visit when Mom's in a different room.

Anyway, have a fun weekend, everyone! Here's to seeing not only birds, but bunnies!

  5. William, such excitement, and I'm glad the dove flew away unharmed. We are hoping to see lots of birds this weekend, if the rain finally goes away. Have a good one!

  6. Good for your dove! We had our first bird in the window event last week but the little chickadee didn't make it. Usually, all survive. Our Mom gave him a honorable send off and a quiet spot in our garden.

  9. It's that time of year when dumb birds think they can fly through houses. Makes for pawsome Bird TV! Bunnies would be good to watch, too. We hope you have a wonderful weekend.

  10. Poor birdie. We get window thuds occasionally and they're pretty startling. I'm glad the birdie was ok.
