It sure does pay to have black fur to soak up warmth on these chilly mornings, and Elliott knows just how to do it. I think too he can receive special heat waves on that red ear he has pointed up.
And finally today we had our furnace safety checked and the cooler winterized, so we now can have heat any time. I know my mom's pretty glad about that, especially since she is too big to fit into a sun puddle.
Have a fun and warm weekend, everybody!
Yup, dark furs are pawsome heat magnets :)
ReplyDeleteWe love the furnace and all that heat it gives us.
Mom has turned it on a few times too :)
Stay warm kitties!

My black furs are heat magnets too. Oh I get so warm...I scoot back myself after awhile.
ReplyDeleteOhhhh, the red ear!!! What a great feature!
ReplyDeleteAnd good luck with all those spam postings! When I was new in the blogosphere, I was a bit annoyed that I couldn't comment on old blog entries. I often link to old entries of other blogs if the topic has relevance to my post, e.g. why I chose to not adopt kittens, but older cats.
After some months I understood why: the amount of spam comments has significantly decreased when I changed the settings (as far as I remember you can't comment on my blog if the post is older than 2 weeks).
Maybe something you should consider? (If you don't have already installed something similar?)
Oh, I hope this double comment is not labeled spam - I just saw that you added me to your cat buds list. Thank you! <3
ReplyDeleteI think it would be funny to see your mom in the sunpuddle. My mom tries to steal my heater vent sometimes, but she usually gives it up in favor of a blanket.
ReplyDeleteThat ear is really sumfing, Elliott. Watch out though, cause it might go up in flames at any second.
ReplyDeleteHuh, we have red eyes sometimes, but not red ears! Thats pretty impressive.
ReplyDeleteThat is a great heat seeking ear Elliott! It would be funny to see our mums trying to get in sun puddles.
ReplyDeleteSoak up all the sun you can get!
ReplyDeleteThat red ear is awesome Elliot!! The humans not utilising sun puddles fully is a very poor use of resources I say!! MOL
ReplyDeleteOh, turn on the heaty thing! Quick!
ReplyDeleteWe are getting ready for those chilly winter days and nights, too.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy the sunpuddles for now!

That is good that the the furnace is ready- it is getting cold.
ReplyDeleteYay for having the heaty monster available to keep you warms.
ReplyDeleteBelieve it or not, it was DADDY who fired up the furnace at our house!
ReplyDeleteDamn'd menopaws...
A sun-warmed black cat is the bestest thing in the whole world!
ReplyDeleteExatamente como a minha Pretinha gosta... sol até ficar com as orelhas vermelhas. hehehe
