So 11 years have brought a lot of changes. When we moved to our house in 2004, we were free of the rules that kept our family small. It had been just Eddie and me to begin with, since Sophie had gone to the Bridge at the end of 2003, and we started growing that very year. Here are some of my favorite photos of that time from 2004 to 2011.
Olivia (and her kangaroo) joined us in 2004.
A year later in 2005, Caroline come on board.
Eddie left for the Bridge in early 2007. Then, in the fall of 2007, Russell Bustle moved in.
Pee Queen (officially, Gracie) found our family in 2008.
Olivia left us in 2012, and Pee and Russell left in 2013. Of course, I still miss my bro more than I can say.
Mom and I love every one of those pictures and I have to say, you and Russell in that last one brought a bit of leaky eyes to mommy. You two were so bonded. <3
ReplyDeleteWhat a beautiful family. Sometimes it is good to pull out the past and remember.
ReplyDeleteThose are lovely photos William. I know how much you miss your brother. I miss Eric still, and when the weather is good I nap beside his grave.
ReplyDeleteI loved seeing the kitties of the past, William - and I especially loved seeing Russell!
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful photos... and precious memories for you. You and Russell were really quite a pair, and we are sure you still miss him a lot.
ReplyDeleteRussell was a super-special boy and you two had a wonderful relationship, William. I was very sad when Russell had to leave for the Bridge and you were without a pal (well, Caroline is beautiful and desirable, of course, but not quite a . . . buddy for a lonely boycat).
ReplyDeleteI am so glad that Elliott has come along now. . .he seems like a cool guy and it makes our hearts happy to see you two hanging out on your kitty tower getting to know each other. Change is hard, William, but we think you kids are gonna be okay. XOXOXOXO
P.S. I know it's your Birfday week and all, but you did kinda steal Caroline's day. I mean, I guess it's okay this once, but just sayin' I expect double Caroline next week.
aww you and Eddie and you and Russell has furry speshul relationships.
ReplyDeleteWhat wonderful memories you have been sharing with us! This has been a great birthday week! And through it all you have been Mom's special Tiny Boy!

Oh my. I had no idea that Russell went over the bridge. I'm so sorry. As Ginger would note, "Momma has leaky eyes right now."
ReplyDeleteI haven't been around much, it's been such a busy (and not really in a good way 2013 rolling into 2014). Ginger & I will be stopping by a lot more to keep any eye on our tiny dancer.
