I had some pretty big excitement this weekend. On Saturday, there were about 20 little birds in the tree right outside one of our windows! They were peeping and jumping from branch to branch and didn't seem to mind my watching them at all. That was pretty fun.
Then on Sunday, a real grasshopper was on the balcony wall! I had never seen one before but he sure looked plump and juicy and nutritious, being green and all. Of course, I couldn't get to him and my mom wouldn't let him in, but I kept watching him for like minutes. Then he left, I guess for an appointment or something.
And then this afternoon I was in the hallway to be safe from the sudden winds that came up. They sure were noisy and filled the air outside with dust and stuff.
And then right after that I took a nap.
Wow, William, that is WAY more excitement than happened here! I am hoping someday to see a real grasshopper! They don't show up around here very often.
ReplyDeleteGrass hoppers? I don't think we have seen one of those either. But green is good!
ReplyDeleteHow can you STAND such thrilling times, William?
ReplyDeleteFelix say those green kaddidlehopper thingies make him foam. He wouldn't recommend 'em.
Such excitement William!!!!
ReplyDeleteI love to eat grasshoppers! We get them in late summer and they have a great crunch to them! -Scout
Geez, William, you hadded more 'citement in two days than I get in two weeks! My Human and Aggie and Madie and Wally's Dad went for a nice walk along the Embarcadero yesterday and guess what? A bug flew right down their Dad's windpipe! He hadded a really, really hard time coughing it up, too. I wish bugs would fly in MY mouth!!
ReplyDeleteAfter that much action, we completely understand why you had to take a nap!
ReplyDeleteWow, talk about busy! No wonder you took a nap!
ReplyDeleteOMG a grasshopper! I would LOVE to pull the legs offa one of those!
ReplyDeleteWhew! You deserved that nap and probably needed a treat too. MOL!
ReplyDeleteWhat an eventful day William !!!!
ReplyDeleteToo bad about the grasshopper. Moms just don't understand :/

That sure is a lot to happen in one day, William. You definitely needed a nap after all that.
ReplyDeleteWilliam...your life is filled with eventful things! How do you schedule all of this?
ReplyDeleteWow, that has been exciting! We got all flustered just reading it!
ReplyDeleteBTW, we had an actual young robin IN our garden last Thursday...ON THE GROUND. (New to flying.) That was quite exciting too, though perhaps not so much for the human who had to rescue it. :-P
That was a very exciting weekend William! It is a pity your mum didn't let Mr Grasshopper in to visit you. They are very tasty and crunchy. We usually get lots, but none this year because it is far too wet and cold.
ReplyDeleteWow, William, that does sound exciting! I hope you had a good nap after all that!
ReplyDeleteThat was a big weekend, for sure. We didn't have much excitement because it was still beastly hot and the shades were down and the a.c. was going and we JUST SLEPT.
