I Am Eight.

Thanks for all the birthday wishes, kids! You know, if you guys weren't around, my mom would never remember my birthday!

So to make up for her forgetting, she got me a roadrunner.

He can't come into the house, though; we can maybe nod at each other and that's it.

I don't know. It seems kinda like a fake gift, if you ask me.

  1. Lame-o gift, William. I think she needs to cook you up a chick-hen and let you have at it. At least I hope you scored some good Easter treats.

  5. Hey, better late than never! Some of the guys at our mom's work were sharing road runner stories the other day. She said they were hilarious - especially the one about the bird who got in a guy's truck! Oh, they were all New Mexico stories, too!

  7. William, you should get chicken at the very least, and preferably pheasant or some other cool fancy-type bird for your birthday!

  9. As your mom's official Sweet Tiny Boy we think she oughta stick a crowbar in her wallet and get you some treats, or stinky goodness or some real fishies in water to watch.

  10. Happy Birthday, William. We think your mom should've brought the roadrunner inside. It would have made for an extra special gift.

  11. Happy Birthday, William! I recently turned eight myself, back in February. And as your elder, I can safely say that so far my eighth year has been much the same as years two through seven. My first year was pretty rough, until I was about ten months old. That's when I met Mom and stopped being homeless. I know you were a very tiny boy when you got rescued, so your first year was probably better than mine. I hope the next 365 days are your best yet.

Your roadrunner looks pretty cool, by the way. Olivia turned seven in April and Mom forgot her birthday. She was really mad!
