Thursday Wrap-Up, Early Edition.

Well, other cats' moms and dads got a snow day, mine got a gas day! The governor declared a state of emergency earlier this afternoon, so Mom's home early and we're going to hunker down and wait out the rolling blackouts for natural gas and maybe even electric. This has already hit the state of Texas, and much of our natural gas comes from there. So let's hope this doesn't last long and that the overnight temps are a bit higher than -5°!

We're shutting all unnecessary things off now. I sense a cat pile happening!

Check in with you later. Stay warm!

  5. Kitty mosh on your mom!!!! Our dad had a snow day yesterday. Actually it was more like a melting slush/rain/ice day. But we still have about a foot of snow here. It's getting boring!

  6. We didn't know what rolling blackouts were so we had to google it. So basically when it is at it's coldest and you need power the most, they cut it off. Great!!!
We hope you can all snuggle together and keep warm.

  13. Wow, I very seldom lose electrical power (our cables are underground), but I have NEVER heard of a storm-caused natural gas outage!

It must be harsh to think of something you "can't" lose and then lose it!

Snuggle the kitties and stay warm...
