"And So Tomorrow...

"...we will remember that there is something happening in America; that we are not as divided as our politics suggests; that we are one people; we are one nation; and together, we will begin the next great chapter in America's story with three words that will ring from coast to coast; from sea to shining sea – Yes. We. Can."

~Barack Obama, January 2008

I'm so glad you're here. You have instilled in me hope and excitement and the belief that things will get better for all of us. Things are already changing – Russell and Gracie were playing together this morning, and she and I touched noses without hissing, and we got two new cat boxes over the weekend.

Welcome, Mr. President. May Bast always be at your side. And thank you, Dr. King, for showing all of us the way.

~William, January 2009

  8. Hear hear William! May the peace and friendship burgeoning (what? When did I swallow a dictionary?!) in your house extend to all the world! I've just watched President Obama being sworn in as 44th President of the United States, followed by his very powerful and moving speech. Phew! Wow!

Sorry I made your Mom cringe and your tail puff dear William! It wasn't too bad, after all, I'm still here and I didn't suffer the bad headache that can follow a lumbar puncture, so I think I'm very fortunate!

Here's to great new beginnings! Cheers ::slurps wine in a toast::! :) xxx
