Russell fell in love with my aunt and followed her all around the entire time she was here. (At least that kept him out of Caroline's fur for a while.) Aunt L. left on Wednesday night and Russell was apparently so bereft that he pulled our rather large umbrella plant out of the planter on top of a bookcase and got about five gallons of dirt on the carpet. That got us shut out of our room for a day because Mom was a little cross. Then, when we got to go into it again, he decided to break a lamp that Mom just fixed from the last time he broke it. In between he's been removing books from the bookcases left and right and I am pretty sure he poked a hole or two into the dryer vent. I have no idea why Aunt L. didn't take the little pest with her.
Anyway, I've just been trying to take care of Mom, since aside from dealing with Russell In Love, she got a cold that got progressively worse throughout the week. While clearly I can't do anything about Russell, I can do that.
Caroline and I take a break ourselves.
I hope that your person starts feeling better soon!
ReplyDeleteWe were all grounded here because somebunny, ORLANDO, decided to eat up half of DKM's carpeting.
ReplyDeleteMeezer Mom has a cold too. Hope my mum doesn't get it. Are you sure Aunt L wanted to take Russell with her or are you just hoping?
ReplyDeleteand here we thought YOU were the king of mass destruction. sounds like you two need to have a competition while your mom is at werk.
ReplyDeleteRecently everyone of us are taking care our moms~~~~
ReplyDeleteHope they feel better soon!
Sorry to hear that your mom is not feeling well. Our mom has been plagued with bad allergies this week. She keeps grumbling about the pollen in the air. Though we don't know what that is.
ReplyDeleteHope your mom feels much better soon, William. That Russell! He's been mischief-making!
ReplyDeleteAre you sure that Precious is going to act like Russell does for 3 or 4 years? I just don't know if I can bare it that long! I may have to runnoft. ( I know this spelling is right, cuz that is the way it was spelled in the movie O Brother, Where Art Thou.)

Aw, Russell is just missing your aunt.
ReplyDeleteHe's really taking after you, isn't he William? Don't they say that imitation is the sincerest form of flattery? You should be proud of him :)
Someone needs to tell Russell that he has to start to clean up after himself. Either that, or teach him how to take care of his human mom 24/7 when she has a cold. Good luck!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness Russell has been quite the busy little boy! Trixie is very proud of him; she is the vase smashing queen of the east cost.
ReplyDeleteFeel better soon William's mom! Keep up the good work making her rest, wm & caroline.
ReplyDeleteRussell Bustle, you sound like such a little darling!!!!! Maybe auntie will visit more often for you! Your mom would be sad if she took him away however.
well at least you can help your Mom feel better William. Hope Russell gets over his crush all right ~the Fluffy Tribe
ReplyDeleteAt least you found time to relax with all that was going on. Hope your mom is feeling better.
ReplyDeletepoor Russell, he sounds like he did have a thing for your aunt. you can't blame him for acting out a bit. sorry you got locked up tho.
ReplyDeletei hope your mommy is feeling all better after the weekend. big purrs to her!
Oh, Russell....
ReplyDeleteSounds like Russell is a little devil-kitty! Perhaps he was lovesick and desperate for attention (doubtful!) Kitties will be kitties is what we always tell our Mom (after we destroy something that she loves - like the couch)
ReplyDeleteTheodore and Sasha
Sorry to hear about your mum's cold, hope it is getting better.
ReplyDeleteHave you thought about putting Russell in a box and posting him to your Aunt L? I am sure that would be lovely for both of them, and obviously much more peaceful for you!
Oh poor Russell, he's lurvvesick! Take good care of your mom.
ReplyDeleteHope your Mom gets feeling better. One of us ripped a major hole in the dryer vent so now the door stays shut.
