I'm glad it's almost the weekend. Now, if only the terrible winds would subside. We don't like the noise, we don't like the flying branch bits, we don't like the dust-filled sky, we don't like the grit all over the place. And, it's spreading the wildfire in the mountains south of here and our firefighters need a break. So we want it to stop.
Other than that, I don't think we have any big plans. Maybe napping, watching my bird video again, playing, stuff like that. I hope everyone has a fun weekend too!
Momma gets all worried when it gets dry and there are forest fires, then she will be wishing for snow!! We finally have spring, but Momma let me out on the deck and forgetted me for 2 hours and I cried and cried. Then she looked all over the house for me. She kept saying how sorry she was........not......

I plan to nap and pester DKM all weekend... ah, good times ahead.
ReplyDeleteI is worried 'bout those winds too! Mom said they nearly blowed her away, even in the evil truck (it must be evil because when I'm in it, it always goes to the v-e-t). Sure wish we was getting some rain with them winds!!

Fires is nice in their enclosed stoney place, but not outside! We hope yer all OK. Napping inside is a good idee.
ReplyDeleteMommy remembers what that's like (and so so I!) We were stuck in a true dust storm in SW KS once and it was amazing where the grit got...
ReplyDeleteOh nos! I hate wind too, it tries to knock me off my feet (and would probably succeed the way I'm feeling right now). The combination of wildfires and winds is really bad. Hope you'll all stay safe. xxx
ReplyDeleteHope the winds calm down for you. And that bird video sounds cool.
ReplyDeleteI tagged you for the Six Word Memoir meme ... it was fun. I think you'll enjoy it.

Wow! When you talk about Grit, you weren't just talking about being tough were you?
ReplyDeleteI sure do agree with you about that wind! My Daddy says some rich Texan bought a ranch in Arizona and is having it delivered to the Texas Panhandle by air mail!
ReplyDeleteWe purray for the firefighters and the people who live near that wildfire. Mom and my Daddy are going camping at Sumner Lake this weekend and they will be very careful! The only fire they will have is in the propane camp stove so I hope it does not get too cold for them.
They are taking my woofies but Jemima and Ruckus and I will be home alone. Pfooey! They better leave lots of food for us!!
Hope things calm down soon, sweeties!
ReplyDeleteA weekend of napping and playing sounds nice. When you watch your bird video, make sure you have your treats ready.
ReplyDeleteHey William, thanks for tagging me for the 6 word meme, I will try to do it in the next few days.
ReplyDeleteAlso thanks for offering to call your Russian buddy Putie, you don't also have a contact who might have tickets to the Champions League Final, do you? I really want to go and watch Chelsea play in Moscow!!!
Big purrs for you guys!!!! I hope you are all OK!! It's scary news on the TV!

Hi William, we are sorry the winds are blowing where you are, but you mentioned something about grits. They are yummy - especially with butter.

ReplyDeleteGosh I hope you have calm weather and sunshine soon, William! Our skies are gloomy and they say a storm is coming towards us from the middle of the country. (or some storms...those weather guys are not clear)

ReplyDeletei like your 6 word meme
It's like that here, too, and we're under a fire warning FOREVER, it seems. We need RAIN! Happy weekend!
ReplyDeleteYucky wind and grit. We know how you feel but I bet it's worse in new mexico! The wildfires are horrible. We hope the firefighters are putting the fire out! And we hope you've had a very nice weekend!!!
