You know how last week Caroline broke my mom's favorite little gazing ball that I gave her? I thought it was Caroline just being Caroline, but now I'm worried that the Caroline Effect is spreading.
Yesterday evening Mom went out to water the plants in the front. She noticed an infestation of plant-sucking insects that wrecked our hedges two years ago and decided to spray. Suddenly, Mom was being Caroline and sprayed everything with herbicide instead of insecticide! A regular catastrophe to be sure!
Then, this evening, when Mom was being Mom again and reading the paper, she kept hearing the clatter of blinds against the window in the kitchen. Well, she knew it wasn't me because I was keeping her company. When she investigated, she found that Olivia was being Caroline, standing up on her hind legs just to bite on the raised blinds!
WHERE WILL IT STOP???
oh goodness, did your mom save the plants?
ReplyDeleteoh Olivia, the kangaroo made her do it.
Maybe it is the change of seasons coming on. I like to bitey things but not the blinds.
ReplyDeleteOh no! re: the pesticide/herbicide incident. Not to go all granola on you here, but have you tried natural pesticides/herbicides? Or less toxic ones? Of course, then again, I don't know what you were using! Anywho . . . I hope the plants survive. Kathy in Ky
ReplyDeleteUh oh... maybe douse them with plenty of water... or give the local nursery a call about some antidote.
ReplyDeleteI love chomping on the blinds

Hey, William,
ReplyDeleteOur cats do the same thing. Mom trys to get them stopped and tells me to stop them, but they don't listen. I tagged you for a meme. Sorry it's close to the end of the day. As you can see from my posts, I was asleep on the clock. You can see more about the meme on my bloggie.

Ha ha ha ha ha! If only My Lady had blinds.
ReplyDeleteMaybe everyone will get better on the 21st when fall begins...
ReplyDeleteIt does seem as if you are being invaded by everyone thinking like Caroline... Will it happen to you to William?
ReplyDeleteMaybe DK and the fluffies are on to something...once the weather changes maybe all will be well.
ReplyDeleteWill the herbicide kill the plants or will it just kill plants named Herb?
Interesting events William. What is going on with the girlies in your house?
ReplyDeleteI hope your mom could save the plants! Almost all of our blinds have teethy marks too!
ReplyDeleteUh oh, that sounds like a mistake my Mommie would make.
ReplyDeleteWe have wooden blinds and I always try to climb in between the slats and they bend and bend and bend and I can just barely squeeze through.
Hmmmm........ maybe the wimmen over at you house need some valium or something like that....?
ReplyDeleteYike, those seem like some really weirdsy problems. We hope The Caroline Effect doesnt get you too!
