My sister Caroline suffers from Restless Tail Syndrome. Some days are worse than others, and today was very bad. For instance, when we were visiting my bird pals today? She kept smacking me with her tail. Or when we were lounging together on my cat shelf in my window? She kept smacking me with her tail. Or when we were having dinner tonight? AGAIN WITH THE STUPID TAIL.
Oh, but she doesn't need to see birds or be near food or sit in the window to get that tail going. It's always slicing back and forth, like a normal cat might do if he or she were mad. Or like she's really a dog!
I tell you, with her RTS, somebody is going to lose an eye!
Oh my goodness, isn't there a medication I saw advertised for that? This sounds very dangerous!
ReplyDeleteYou've been tagged for the meme "Five Reasons Why I Blog."
Hahahaha. You make me laugh William. But this does sound like a serious condition. Poor Caroline...Poor William. Does she only have RTS around you? Or does Olivia get the whippy tail too.
ReplyDeleteMy boy Shadow has a similar disorder, except his tail twitches whenever someone talks baby talk to him. Poor boy! Even happens when he's trying to nap!
ReplyDeleteGramma Trixie hadded that - so we kepted attacking her. sometimes that werked.
ReplyDeleteTry the attack method William! It seems to be effective over 50% of the time when I try it on Rudy and that weapon he calls a tail!
ReplyDeleteThat must be what I have! Meowm says I have a tail like a dog....always knocking things around. RTS.....wow!
ReplyDeleteJemima doesn't have a tail so she can't whack me with it. I'm the one with the tail (hehe).
ReplyDeleteThank you for pointing out this potentially dangerous condition! My sister, Grr, also has RTS. Even worse, her tail is large and heavy - she's a 20 pound, big boned cat. Is there any cure?

Oh gosh. Maybe she has an itchy tail?
ReplyDeleteI am sorry you are getting a whipping! Perhaps some eye protection is in order.

Our Jim never had kitties before us, so he thought that a restless tail was a good thing like the woofies he used to have. Boy does he understand better now!
ReplyDeleteWilliam, we've been off the web for almost 2 months and we just read 'bout your brother Eddie. We are so very sorry for your family's loss. Please give your mom a head-butt from us.
That must be what Munchkin has. His tail is always going, and has a funny twitch. Thanks for letting us know what this condition is. We are also courious is there a cure? Maybe Daisy can help us all wif RTS.
ReplyDeleteI mite haf that... that's why I keep my tail curled way up ofur my back.
ReplyDeleteBonnie has ITS: Irritable Tail Syndrome. She gets "booshy" ofur nofing. I useta make her booshy, but not fur a long time. Mom's slippers do!
Earlier this week, we had pictors wif our tails touching! Bonnie was embarrassed that she let me touch her like that.
Hmmm, I am not bothered by RTS. So I don't know what to say William. I hope she can be cured or treated.
ReplyDeleteYes, I hope there's a cure. Maybe you could tie a heavy weight to her tail to slow it down? On second thoughts, your mum might not go for that...
ReplyDeleteHahahaha! Owr dad has restless legs so we know how bad having RTS must be to yoo.
ReplyDeleteI also have the RTS and my dad has the restless legs too, just like Beau Beau & Angie's dad. Depending what my tail is hitting, it can get rather loud! And I am also tagging you with "the 5 reasons I blog" meme!

I saw something on the big picher box for that! Patches has it, but it isn't real bad, her tail just moves a little most of the time. I think she is nervous. I think she needs a valium, maybe.

ReplyDeletePoor William. Caroline is really beating up on you. Maybe if you swatted her tail, she would stop hitting you with it?
