Thank you all so very very much for the kind and sweet thoughts you each took the time to send to us. I can't even begin to describe how each one touched us, but I know Mom and I will be deeply and forever grateful for every comforting word. While we continue to get used to Eddie's physical absence day by day, we can take solace in the treasure of memories we have of him and be grateful for the very special feline community that sent us all this love to help fill the void. I cherish you all.
I know Eddie is 'laxing at the Bridge, or he might be doing some landscaping there.
ReplyDeleteI never met Eddie, but I know he was a good brofur and he loved you.

William, you will always have Eddie with you in spirit. Like you said, it is the physical absence that is the hardest to deal with.

ReplyDeletein the beginning, memories bring tears of sadness at the loss. eventually they turn into tears of joy from the love that will always be there.
When you and your Momma are sad I realized I lurves you a lot because I hurt for you.

I think, the last few days, we all hugged our kitties a little tighter, looked at them longer, petted them more. We all know, at some time, we will loose our beloved ones. The unity in our group makes us strong. We all love you!

My Mom agrees with Momsbusy. She still cries almost every time she thinks about the kitties she's lost over the years. It's the good memories she has that make it all worthwhile having loved every one of them. She says Jemima and I have our own special places in her heart and that makes her happy!

ReplyDeleteThe physical absence is the hardest thing to get used to. Just remember that he is still there, watching over you from the Bridge and he will live forever in your hearts and minds.
