Splendor in the Grass.

So even before Mom got up this morning I thought it would be a great idea to have some fun with the cat grass. Our Aunt M (Eddie's girlfriend's mom and rescuer of my little sister) grows this for us and this last time she brought us two pots of grass! Mom usually limits our grazing time, otherwise we'd shear it all to the roots within minutes like a herd of goats, but she had moved the pots from the secret place in the bedroom to the dining room. The bedroom is still off-limits to us while the floor cures, and the door's been closed (some nonsense about our claws, I think). So having all this unfettered access to the cat grass, I just couldn't help myself. I never can!

Unbelievably, Mom was not too thrilled to see the scattered dirt and overturned pots, especially since it was one of those mornings where she was getting ready for something she calls "work" (??*). She cleaned up the mess and hid the repotted plants in the catch-all room where we are never allowed without supervision because I CAN'T EAT CAT GRASS RESPONSIBLY.

I think Eddie and Olivia were kinda mad at me because of that, Olivia especially since later on I also hid three toys she likes to play with under the washer and dryer. Mom got them out this evening but that won't last long because I CAN'T PLAY WITH TOYS RESPONSIBLY EITHER.

But who cares, really, because I am such a little doll! And I'll get to snuggle under the fuzzy throw when Mom sits in front of that weird box that lights up and makes noise like there are humans actually inside it.

*About this "work" thing, I think she's really out hunting. She doesn't seem to be very good at it though--it's often days before she brings anything home. If I could go out and hunt, we'd be rolling in tasty little finches and succulent doves!
