Elliott On The Soapbox.

I was going to say something about déjà vu all over again when at the noon hour when we expected local news, all three major networks were live at that fool's parole hearing, but what is the point. All I know is that if cats were in charge, the world would be a whole lot saner.

OK. I'm done. Who saw Venus and the waning crescent moon before sunrise this morning? We did! It was wonderful. And since we're expecting rain over the next several days, this was a nice treat. If you missed it, check these photos out.

  2. There are times I'm grateful to be at work all day. But I'm sure we'll be forced to know more about where he lives, what he's doing, who he sees, etc. Hopefully it will become boring in a week or two.
Thanks for sharing the celestial pictures. I didn't know there was an event last night.

  4. I'm glad my human doesn't watch the news. She reads about it online and only turns on the TV if it's a major disaster. Which means she has been in front the TV news about three times in the past 17 years.

  5. It was cloudy and rainy early AM, plus mum was asleep. Mum does not turn on the moving picture box during the day.

  6. Elliott, would it be rude of me to stop by someday and play with your wee bent ear?!? It's so darn CUTE! That stuff on TV is nonsense of the highest order, and I refused to watch any of it. I missed the moon and Venus, but enjoyed those photos! Thank you.

  7. Elliott, I used to see it when I was working 12 hour shift rotations. I got to see so many beautiful things like when Mars, Jupiter and Venus were all in alignment..and when Mars was its closest to earth, Jupiter the closest to the earth..total moon eclipses, Venus just under the crescent moon like a diamond dangling from it. Satellites passing by, Space lab..and tell mommy that I totally completely agree about that fool and why all the networks played to it, justas when they devoted month after dreary boring month with the trial, I will not know. Mom didn't watch it and as she pulled the plug on Comcast she didn't see that foolery yesterday either.

  9. Elliott, we're right with you on that soap box about if cat's ruled the world...it would be a much better place. We didn't know about Venus and the moon being so close. Thanks for sharing those pics!

  10. We don't know that stuff, but TBT said 9 years was better than nothing.
