Years ago when I was visiting a friend in Edgewood there were hoards of grasshoppers around. I never heard of them showing up on radar. My dog loved to eat them.
Is this the beginning of the Great Plagues of Albuquerque? Will frogs and rivers of blood be next? It's time for Pharaoh to let the Kitties go. I dunno about the whole 40 years in the desert dealio, though.
Maybe your mom would let just ONE inside .......?
ReplyDeleteWell. As I can attest, kadiddlehopperbugs make one FOAM.

Yikes! Good that you are all safe indoors :o
ReplyDeleteWe agree, though, maybe one? (for each of you)

You kitties make sure you stay there. Your poor parents have to go outside and squish all over them. Ewwweww.
ReplyDeleteUgh, our mom says she grew up with those grasshopper swarms when she lived in the desert and they are NOT fun. Stay inside! Purrs...
ReplyDeleteYeah, we get lake flies on some of the lakes that show up like that. Glad we stay inside too.
ReplyDeleteOMC! It sounds like grasshopper heaven just became grasshopper hell! Maybe a couple will get inside - that's all you need really.

ReplyDeleteOne grasshopper is fun. A bazillion grasshoppers is a nightmare! Glad you're safe inside.

A swarm sounds scary. Stay indoors and safe
ReplyDeleteIt might be fun to watch them from inside, right? Bugs are always fun to bat at...inside the window or out.
ReplyDeleteWilliam, I agree with Ann; let just one inside, so you kitties can keep those hunting skills honed to razor-sharpness! Otherwise...totally gross!
ReplyDeleteThat is really weird.
ReplyDeleteStay inside !!!
If one manages to sneak in, it might make a tasty snack!
ReplyDeleteWe heard about this on the evening news! Yikes!
ReplyDeleteWow... that would be like Revenge of the Tasty Snacks!
ReplyDeletestay indoors, but maybe you can check it out in the window.

Hi William & fambly,
ReplyDeleteFanks so much for coming by to share some purrs for Finny. We are sticking close to mom to help her feel better, but she misses Finny a lot.
Love & hugs,
Buddy & Jazzy
I love grasshoppers, they are nice and crunchy. I don't think I could manage a swarm of them though.
ReplyDeleteIck! That is one thing Mom and I agree on. We don't really like grasshoppers. They are too stiff and those sticky legs oooooohhhhhhh
