A Very Birdyhooed Week.

Like that word? I made it up! It's fitting because we've had a whole lot of bird activity going on this week.

Yesterday our mom got out the hummingbird feeders and within a few hours everybody knew the Nectar Bar was open for business. Unfortunately, the wind cranked back up again today and she had to move them to keep them from falling or even flying away! Anyway, our hummers can still see where the feeders are.

In the meantime, Mom says those pigeons must have an egg or two. We haven't seen them, of course, but the lady pigeon has not budged from that slapdash nest since Sunday. We have no idea how she can even stay put with the terrible wind.

Me, I am not particularly excited by birds of any kind. Until I can later nap on Mom, I'd rather lounge in a drama-free window.

It will be a good while yet before our hummers visit us.
Until then, we see the chickadees.
    Have a good snooze Elliott.

  2. We are looking forward to the hummingbirds, but they don't get here until May. Good thing because it will be in the 20's tonight.

  4. I think you're the first cat I've heard of who isn't interested in birds. Mom refilled the hummingbird feeder a few days ago but we haven't seen anyone stop by yet.

  7. Mommy said we have our hummers. The boys always come to the feeders first, then the girls.
