We Love This Time Of Year.

We've had a great week of beautiful fall weather, mild days and cool nights. We haven't seen any hot air balloons near us, but that's okay. They make almost as much noise as Caroline does, and who needs that? Sunday morning will mark the last mass ascension for this year's fiesta.

As for the gas balloon race, the winning team made it all the way to somewhere between Labrador and Quebec, Canada, beating the old record for longest time in the air and most miles covered. With almost 60 hours of flying time, we sure hope they had a catbox with them!

Another reason why we love this time of year is we can finally nap in the sun without boiling. Why, I'm demonstrating that right now!

  1. No sun here for the past few days. Wish I could find a sun puddle to nap in.

  4. The weather here is pretty nice too right now. I went the USC campus for a therapy cat visit and it was nice being outdoors, and not too hot.

  13. The sun is nice any time of year, but I know what you mean about not boiling! It's gonna be a last blast of 80 degrees plus here this weekend, and then I think it's going to start dropping. Oh well, that time of year. Happy weekend, y'all!!
