Finally.

Everything seems back to normal today: cats, weather and all. It was mild enough to have the sliding door open for a bit, and I took advantage of the sun and the fresh air. Plus, I thought it was wise to stay out of Mom's way while she wrestled with the refrigerator to remove two or three catfuls of fur from the access cover and condenser coils. (Not that I want to point paws, but all the fur was definitely light-colored and mainly gray. But there was kibble under it too, so I suppose there could be a phantom cat living under it whose fur nearly did it in.)

Anyway, now that the refrigerator has been rescued from the brink of death, we can return to our regularly scheduled shedding and resume our attempts at trying to kill the vacuum once and for all. Fun times ahead!

I guess I better rest up.

  5. If it's worth doing, it's worth doing well, Elliott! Cats can shed while asleep or awake; they are marvelously industrious like that.

  8. Well, of course it wouldn't be your fur causing all the problems, Elliott.

  11. Well, the only kits in this house have been Derby and me. Plus mum just got a new cold box last year. Probably be a while before a ghost cat builds up.
