Elliott On The Stove.

My mom did some baking this afternoon. It's been cold and gray and there's another winter storm warning posted, so the extra warmth from the stove was especially timely. Certainly I wasn't going to let the opportunity pass me by — I'm a pretty skinny boy and need all the heat I can get, so after she was all done I settled right in between the burner covers and just basked. It was almost as much fun as making a Cat Blanket on Mom.

What are you doing to keep toasty this weekend?

  1. You look very warm there. I lie full stretch in front of the wood burner to keep warm.

  4. Elliott, you are just like us. When it's cold like this, sometimes fights break out as to who gets to lay on the stove.

  5. Oh how fun to find your source of heat. Emma loves going on top of the Direct TV receiver. That's her spot.

  7. Oh I am plastered up against any and all the heat registers on this house for a modicum of warmth. Mom keeps it at 71 and that is too cold for me, Elliott!

  8. Be careful, you don't want to cook yourself.

  9. We don't have pilots on our stove, so it is rarely warm unless it is being used. It seems like there are winter storms everywhere! We are getting a lot more rain than normal.

  10. Elliott, we have a small space on the floor where a hot air vent was moved. That space warms up nice and toasty, and if Angel isn't laying there, then Chucky is! We humans would like to use that space too, but we are too big, and humans don't like sitting on the hard floor! Cats, however, will go soft or hard, as long as it's WARM!

  14. Elliott, eu prefiro me aquecer deitando ao lado da chaleira depois que minha humana aquece água para o café, mas agora estamos no verão.

  15. We are in the middle of a Nor'easter in Boston - expecting 12" or so. Mom made sure we have plenty of foods, and we are all keeping toasty on her bed.

  16. Oh, I bet that's even warmer than sitting on the clothes dryer.
It's Saturday with rain expected for the next week (which we need) but that means no sunpuddles. I will curl up in one of my many cozy beds.
