While I Wait For The Heat To Subside.

I thought I would answer some questions!

Izzy, why is it so hot at your house?
It's always hotter here than at the airport (where the "official" temperature is recorded). Why? Well, our elevation is about 5,646 feet, almost 300 feet higher than the airport. We are closer to the sun, of course!

But why has it been running 10°-15° hotter than usual?
I don't know but I think Caroline's screaming at Ivan might have something to do with it.

Izzy, what's with the dead spot cleaners?
It seems this is a problem for lots of folks. We are on our second (and final) Bissell Spotlifter 2x. We find they last about four to five years. The first one the battery went stone cold dead. This one just decided it did not want to charge without melting its wires, never a good thing. Because it has a nickel cadmium battery in it and because my mom worries about weird stuff, it's now resting in a place where the least amount of damage can be done should it decide to spontaneously combust before she can safely dispose of it.

Well, that's it for me right now. My question is When is dinner?

  2. Mum says to invest in a cleaner that plugs in! Yeah, it is going to be hot here too. They said excessive heat warning.

  7. "When's dinner?" is the most important question...then "what's for dinner?"

  10. Here it's been much colder than usual! The Human actually put a THIRD blanket on the bed last night--that's just crazypants! We will get our hots in September/October but prolly they won't be near as bad as your hots.

Would you like me to come over and make Screamoline stop screaming? I will, though I'll have to wait till the fleeze is all dead, because then you'd be hot AND itchy.

  11. It is very hot here also, Izzy. Not as hot as where you live, but when our normal temperature struggles to mid 60s, almost 90 feels very hot to us.
