Lesson Fail.

So Izzy has to have his annual checkup and shots. He is skittish in general and only approaches my mom on his own terms, and this concerns her (who's already put an appointment off for about a hundred years). So she made him a harness that he could wear and which would help prevent him from bolting at the least little thing.

He had no idea what it was or that he had to wear it!

Because he doesn't run from me, I tried to show him how it might work.

He thought it was the silliest thing ever and fell over laughing!

So now there's a troll box up here that he's going to have to get used to by himself. Mom's actually fixed it up with a little quilt in it and a cover over it to make it comfy--why, even I've checked it out! Truth be told, though, I'm glad it's not for me this time.

  9. It's pretty fashionable-looking, Izzy, but it doesn't sound like you're taking her very seriously!

  11. What a awsome looking harness!

You might be surprised! Getting Jenna to the vet is hardest. However, once in the exam room she calms down--always glad to go back in her cage, though!

  13. Our mom likes that harness and our artsy brother Quint said he'd wear it. So, maybe it's not all bad.

  14. Hey, Izzy, that harness is quite attractive. We hope it works. Really. Our mom just ordered a "Cat-in-the-Bag" because of her recent struggles with Wilbur. More on that soon.

  15. oh I feel for you, we had a cat like that, Eli. It was years before I could approach him. fortunately by the time he was 10 years old he started to get over it, and now that he is 12, he has figured out that humans are pretty awesome
