Balcony Action.

Elliott here!

It may look like I'm snoozing, but really I'm watching the balcony floor for the return of my little whiptail lizard pal. Did you know that the whiptail is our official state reptile? How exciting is that for a visitor?

When she was here yesterday, she stayed around for about 20 minutes, but I think she was just too heavy and sleepy from having had a grasshopper for dinner. I hope she comes back -- we've still got a ton of those dumb grasshoppers!

  1. We didn't know that you had lizards there, too. Ashton spends hours gazing longingly out the window at ours.

  2. Hey! Elliott!! Wake up, Dude! That tasty little morsel's gonna slip right past you, you know, and the Screamoline will get it. Oh wait, never mind. Go back to sleep.

    Eat her anyway.

  5. A lizard beats a moth any day, even if the moth has pretty colours. :-)

BTW, this year is the first time we're seeing these particular ones, usually ours are the plain vanilla variety too!

  6. We don't get lizards here in Michigan, just squirrels and birds! I know Angel and Chuck would love to chase a lizard!

  7. Wow, a lizard would be worth the wait, for sure!

  8. Jenna thinks a lizard feasting on grasshoppers would be great entertainment! Unfortunately, we don't see any lizards around here...

  9. So you are kinda snooze watching for a fat slow moving lizard that you won't probably miss if you catch a few winks because she has a full belly and isn't in a big hurry either?
