Thursday Wrap-Up.

Well, we've had a short break in the heat. I think it's only in the high 80s today, which is wonderful. We're liking the afternoon/evening rains, too.

So I'm waiting for the clouds to water us again today.

Last night was so noisy, it was unbelievable! What with fewer permits granted to fireworks sellers and the ongoing fire danger, you'd think people would be smarter, wouldn't you? The cops were busy all night tracking down the ones shooting off illegal ones, and I guess there were a lot of those, too.

I am pretty sure this is the worst it's been for me since I was abandoned as a very very tiny boy. We all hid under the couches, and my mom put music on and the fans on to make some distracting sounds for us. I sure hope that everybody is all fireworked out now because I really don't like it one little bit.

Anyway, the weekend is almost here! Have fun, everybody, and stay cool!

  6. We are glad your weather is cooler but so sorry the fireworks were so intense. Audrey and I stayed pretty calm here where there was a combination of medium sounding booms from the town fireworks display and the sound of the Macy's fireworks on the tv. But nothing loud.

Thanks for visiting with your kind words about Terrence.

  8. I don't understand why fireworks turn humans into dumb, mechanical explosion machines. But it happens. I am never sorry to see this holiday be over.

  17. Beans can be so dumb about fireworks. We didn't get any booms here because of the fire danger. I guess the stores weren't selling them at all. We are also enjoying the cooler temps and the rain, such as it is.
