Monsoon Season.

Yes, we finally have some rain, thanks to the return of El Niño. It rained yesterday evening, and a storm came in the afternoon today. While it is a bit cooler, it's now very humid. And you know what that means–melting cats!

(The evaporative cooler, as you all may remember from last year's miserable heat fest, is pretty worthless when the humidity goes up. Well, it's actually worthless pretty much any time anyway and we still despise it with the same intensity as last year.)

Anyway, since we're all melted, we're all pretty slow. But I think if I start now, I can make to the kitchen for dinner in about 30 minutes.

  1. We had a major storm the other day and it's cooled us down about 20 degrees!

  3. I am glad you got some rain. We got just a tiny sprinkle, but we have had some clouds, which kept the temp down a bit. Sorry you are all melting. Mom got me a harness and lets me out now because I was already begging to go out all the time. Nothing has changed on that score.

  8. Uh, William? Not that I'm not thrilled to see you, Pal, and not that I don't sympathize with all that heat and humidity.

But you know, it's Wednesday and all, and I came here with, shall we say, DIFFERENT and yes, HIGHER, expectations.

    Sigh.

We totally sympathize about the tail incident, William. If my woman was any clumsier, she wouldn't be able to walk at all! Purrs, my dahlingk.
