Washington's Birthday.

Yeah, yeah, yeah, he was our first president and all. But did you know that he didn't even have any cats?

Pfft.

Anyway, thanks for signing my Uncle B's card! He was thrilled!

  1. What a lovely, sunny window William. Your furs must be all warm and toasty.

  2. William, You furs are stunningly beauteous in this picture. You don't seem to have the cinnamon-ish "underthings" so many of us house panthers have, or perhaps you just conceal them more effectively.

  3. Yeah, I think Washington just had hunting hounds. There wasn't a presidential cat until Lincoln.

  4. Yeah, and he chopped down a cherry tree, which is the World's Awfullest Crime in Mommy's book.

  5. I had no idea. hmmmmmmmmm Maybe that is why my daddy doesn't get off work today. I think it is cause he has a cat!

You look like you're enjoying some cool sunbeams and birdwatching there.

Happy belated birthday to your Uncle B. I'm glad he had a good one!

  9. Not only that, but he chopped down a cherry tree that would've been perfectly good for climbing!

  10. So, it seems you want to know why I am King. Well, I will tell you!

Do you know Glogirly? She has a nice site with her Human Katie. They are young and very glamorous and trendy. One day, Glogirly was wearing a pawsome tiara, and in my comment I said, "The only downside to being a ManCat is the appalling lack of tiaras."

Well! That very same night, Glogirly made me that spectacular graphic you see on my sidebar wit the crown and the ermine cape and all. It was captioned King Spitty the Kitty.

And I figured, well, why not go with it? I mean, I didn't see any other kitties out there claiming the throne, so I staged a quiet coup.

And there you have it. Do you think your Mom want to throw down for the title? Cause I'd totally take her on you know. Or maybe she'd settle for some other title?

  11. But Lincoln (who is also celebrated with "President's Day) had lots of cats. A much better guy, we think!

We hear "Master of the Universe" is still open, William.
