Finally.

An up-to-date photo!

Ah, almost the weekend, too. We've had such a sad week in the cat blogosphere, with goodbyes from Kodak, Miss Peach and Beignet. We're trying to see them at the Bridge, but we can't yet.

About the only highlight was the hapless spider who found itself in our hallway last night. Pee and Oblivia couldn't care less about little live toys, but Pretzel, Screamoline and I had quite a bit of fun for a while. I think this was only the third spider we've had here–this place is seriously lacking in insect entertainment. We haven't even had one moth all summer!

Oh well. Have fun this weekend, everybody! Maybe you too will find a tasty bug to play with and snack on!

  1. Yes, it's been a sad week. We're glad you found a little excitement, though. Even furries need some stress relief.

  2. We sure hope to get some more bugs! Especially if our Mom doesn't smoosh them first.

  3. Thank you for your kind comments about Beignet. It's so sad that he had to cross the Bridge at such a young age.

  4. Mom and Dad are sure glad all the spiders we have outside don't come into the house. Only Daddy longlegs makes it in. Dad has been spraying them and killing them. Some say he shouldn't cause they eat other bugs. Mom has been taking pictures of some of the big spiders. Guess she should put a picture of one on our blog sometime. Mom and Dad said this is the first year that they have seen so many of them and can't figure out why. This morning I tried to play with a wasp, but it disappeared. Mom is thankful that you sold the other house. Prayer does work and we is praying that everything will work out. Really like your picture, both of you are so intent on what you are watching.

  5. We had a LIZARD in the bathroom! That was even better than a spider.

  6. Oh, furriends, it has been a sad week (I did not know Kodak; I am purring very hard for his people), but I really enjoyed hearing about the three of you having to share the pursuit of one measley spidey! Ha ha ha. If your Mommy really loved you, she'd go outside and hunt some bugs to bring you!

Nice photo! So fresh and hot off the presses!

P.S. Who got to eat the spidey?

  8. We haven't had much to hunt this summer either. We didn't have too many moths to hunt at he start of bug season. And, no snakes so far. We are hoping for the crickets to make themselves available.

Have a good weekend, and may your hunting be successful.

  9. Hi there, William! I know the cat kids will be on the hunt for lizards out on the cat porch this weekend. I'll see if they will catch one in your honor!

    Have a great weekend!

  11. It is a great coincident that WE found a cricket in the basement and brought it upstairs to play. Alas, it didn't like playing with us for very long.

  13. It has been a sad week. We are sorry to hear about all our friends old and new. purrrrrrrrs

It is nice seeing a new picture of you! Mommy has bee very lax about mine (thank goodness). She noticed that last week and has since been snapping away!

That is cool you finally got a spider to play with. I'm sorry your place is lacking entertainment like that. Earlier this year we had (ahem) roaches coming in cause of all the spray. I liked it be mommy had the place "treated" and no more toys for me.

I'll cross paws you get a moth soon. Maybe if you pop a hole in the window screen....

  14. Looking as good as ever... and if you have any dry weather out there, we could use it here on the East coast!
