We Were Spared.

So far the pressure in the gas lines in the Albuquerque area has been steady, so we didn't have to freeze like a lot of other cats and dogs and folks in the state. Officials are asking that we still keep our thermostats down and to turn off unnecessary electrical things (to reduce the load on the power lines where folks have had to resort to portable heaters), so we can do that. As long as my fountain is considered necessary, we'll be OK. Plus, it was a balmy 14° this morning! Things are looking up!

Even still, I think I get another evening of helping Mom wear her snuggie!

Thanks to everybody for your well wishes!

  5. Here's hoping the gas pressure stays up. With those kind of temperatures, you do need your heat though of course you can turn it lower. Snuggle-on!!!

  8. Since it is like a balmy 75 here, my Human asks, What is a snuggie and why would anybody need one?

We'd love a little winter. Sigh.

  11. Holy crud. That is cold. It has been nasty cold here but we aren't complaining to much cause we have lots less snow than other areas.

Hoping that little rodent was right and we have an early Spring. Lord knows we deserve it!

  14. Wow, really sorry there are so many with such cold weather while we have basked in 70 degree weather which is so abnormal. The geese are mating and it's to early. Now it's going to turn cold again and it's not good for the orchard growers. Gosh seems like you can't win for losing in any kind of weather especially when it's abnormal.
