Today.

We would like to live as we once lived, but history will not permit it.

  1. Still a lot of humans around for whom 11/22/63 isn't just a date in a history book. We remember...

  2. Mommy was just a baby, but she was raised to believe she was able to do anything, her parents were very influenced politically by JFK. Grandpa even shook his hand once!

  3. Thanks for remembering William. Our Mom was five years old and at the babysitter's house after her morning in Kindergarten. It was noon time in the Chicago area. She remembers that they interupted Bozo the Clown's TV show with a news flash. And she remembers the elderly couple who babysat her crying in the kitchen of their home.

  4. You just made my human sad all over again. She does not remember that day but she knows what he meant, which is the important thing.

  5. My Human can still get kinda leaky 'bout this. She was 13, and she a-members it clear as a bell. In fact, she says, she a-members that day more clearly than just about any other day in her life. She was young then and never knew such bad stuff could even happen. Sadly, there have been so many other bad things since then, but none of them ever shocked her in quite that same way again.

  6. I remember the moment in school when the news was reported.

The current generation has 9/11, my parents had 12/7. I have 11/22. All burned a memory.

It is a day to remember.
