Dia de los Muertos.

I've got my calaveras collar on!

This is our altar this year. All the cats who came before us–and Mom has had the company of cats continuously since 1975!–are honored here this time: Eddie (2007), Sophie (2004), Cowbell (1994), Bing (1991), and Little Brother, a left-behind outside boy my mom took care of until his disappearance (1989). There are toys and crows and treats and stuff for their spirits as they come back to earth on this special day.

Hi, other kids! Hope you enjoy what we've set out for you. Now, isn't it time for dinner? This time change has us all waiting again!

  7. Happy Dia de los Muertos! I love your calaveras collar. Your altar is wonderful. I remember Eddie. I didn't get to know him well, as he went to the Bridge shortly after I started blogging.

  11. A nice way to remember those who came before you.

Like you, we had to wait a whole extra hour to be fed. Changing the time, as it affects our schedule, is not good.
