Twosday.

So if you know my mom, you know she always thinks about adding to the family in the fall. I have no idea why this is but it is. (Except for me–I'm a summer boy!) Anyway, I think she's concerned about people having to give up their kidlets because of the difficult economy. And I know she secretly visited the city shelter a few weekends ago to scope out the older surrendered cat situation.

But I don't think these two new kids came from the shelter. They got here last week. Their names are Lucy and Mary Ellen. They're very quiet but friendly–I just met them and I didn't even have to act like a troll.

Hmm. I wonder if this is a trial run for more girls.

  1. Oh those are adorable! And I'll bet Lucy and Mary Ellen won't want to eat your food or anything! ;-)

  2. How cute Mary Ellen and Lucy are. Welcome to both. Quiet kitties can be OK.

  3. My momma is the same.........she just can't go to that shelter place! She gets all watery eyed and sad and wants them all. I am happy the way it is, well, it was better when I was the only one, but I am not going to tell anyone cuz that is selfish.

  4. I think that your mommy is an angel. Older kitties have the hardest time, 'specially when they had a home before.

  5. Everyone knows more kitties equals more body warmth. That must be why your mom goes looking for more kitties when the weather gets colder.

  7. They look like they'd be nice to snuggle and nap with. (I'm on the blog roll, but I really like the 'missing' logo)

  8. those two look like nice additions.
the situation with pets in the rotten economy is awful. Your mom's heart will tell her what to do.

  10. We wouldn't mind having sisters if they were quiet and well behaved like those two.

  11. My mom is sure that the reason we've had so many additions to the family is the crummy economy and people just moving on because they have to. What a good mom you have. At least your 2 new friends shouldn't take up too much attention.
