Invasion.

Remember I told you about the odd little beaconing solar light we have? Well, I know what it's doing. It's calling Williamish aliens!

First, a few days ago my mom was having coffee early early early when suddenly she saw a black cat on the porch. Now, even though she knew I was right next to her, it was so early she had that little flash of panic, like I somehow got out. Thank Bast she didn't have a heart attack or anything, because who would feed us?

Then, last night about 9:00, we all started getting all interested in something in the yard. Mom thought it might be that fake me again, but what it was was a...great big giant alien black dog! In our walled yard! Well. The dog must have been scaling walls all along our street, since our next door neighbor's vegetable garden got all trampled by the thing. Mom called animal control and waited outside for about a hundred years with our neighbor, but then the dog disappeared. Mom canceled the animal control call. (The dog left a few zucchinis in our yard, ick.)

And this morning, there was a giant black housefly buzz buzz buzzing around. Russell ate him. Mom was relieved to find the house hadn't been destroyed in his quest, because you know how he is.

Anyway, today I am on my mosaic, away from the windows and the effects of the odd little beaconing solar light. I think we all need a break.

  1. Nice of animal control to show up (NOT)! If they wait long enough they don't have anything to do

I hope the black aliens leave you alone. You aren't that close to Area 51.

  2. A black dog in your yard! He must be scaling walls, how did he get there? Weird.

  3. We used to have a dog that lived behind us that mooed, but we never had one that scaled fences. What will it call next?

  6. Yikes! Craziness happening out there. Let's hope nothing else shows up. At least Russell ate the fly (makes me want to sing: There was an orange Russell who swallowed a fly, I don't know why he swallowed a fly...)

  7. I think I would be very unhappy if I saw a big black dog in my yard! You are very brave to have been willing to look out the window at it!!!

  8. Be careful you're not replaced or transformed by the aliens.
