Who Took My Hour?

I know this happens every bunch of months but I still don't get it. Someone stole an hour from us and now I have to wait eons to get it back. Why, I bet if that hour thief hadn't stolen my hour we could've built two cat trees instead of just looking at plans! I bet my mom wouldn't have said "Maybe next weekend, William" because the stolen hour gets her all off kilter too.

So anyway I had to make due with napping and dreaming and visiting with my birds pals. I have new friends! A whole bunch of little goldfinches have been visiting regularly. They are little and very pretty and not nearly as short-tempered as my other finch friends who fight for space at the feeders all the time. They've been here for several weeks now so I think they live nearby.

So while I was busy with all that, Mom was finishing up the last bits on my mosaic. It should be all ready for sitting on in a few days, after the grout sealant is applied. I bet you couldn't see it last time, but my name is in it, too! When we're all done, maybe I'll sit for pictures near the special parts.

  3. The Woman is so happy about that lost hour that I think she peed herself a little. She says it means she can stay out past 5 pm like a grownup. Phffft. Big deal...

  4. I think it's mean that whoever it was stole an hour from your time with your Mom. I can hardly wait to see the finished mosaic.

  5. I DID guess you and Eddie had your names in your mosaic, next to your pictures! (I counted the letters though I couldn't read them). Are Olivia and Caroline and your Mom going to be in the mosaic somehow? Something to do with those rectangles?

I am excited to be able to see it completed. You and your Mom are so very talented and creative.

Are you teasing us about the cat tree, or are you and mom cooking up your next project for real?

  6. We want our hour back also, it's dark this morning and Mommie is probably going to have to drive the young beans to school.

  7. Someone stole an hour from us too. I wonder what they are doing with all our hours. Mom thought she saw your name on the mosaic, but you know her eyes aren't as young as they used to be!

  8. Last year I went hunting for the lost hour and then, months later, it reappeared. It had been hiding in the clock all along. Momma says you better leave it there, though, or your Momma will be late for hunting.

You have a wonderful Momma, Tiny Boy. You should purr extra loud for her. We can't wait to see a picher of the mosaic with you sitting by it.

  10. Someone stole an hour from us? Is that why I am cranky?

They must steal an hour from me every day...

  12. Well, Wm, they say time is a thief. What they didn't say, it was also crazy and much too impressed with itself.

remain calm, eventually the universe will right itself. Until then, nap. You must keep that coat as furlicious as possible to celebrate the return of the hour.

    belated regards,

    Her majesty the Tuxedo

  13. They call this Daylight Savings Time but how can they save daylight if they are taking hours away from us? I do like the fact that the Mom is feeding us an hour earlier though.
