Rest.

I hope everybody had a very happy Thanksgiving and got lots of turkey. I was so busy helping and entertaining Mom, my Aunt L and my Uncle B that I couldn't even get a moment to visit here!

This much fun is almost too much for a tiny boy like me. Mom even left the turkey carcass out for us to nibble on while she finished cleaning up! Only Caroline acted like a big baby about that and insisted on running off with pieces and eating them on the carpet. When Mom made her stay in the kitchen, she lost interest. But that meant all the more for me!

But you know what the absolute best fun was? The other night when I was helping Mom bake dessert for Wednesday night's dinner, I got to test the lemon squares to make sure they were done just right. While they were cooling, I put my little footie into the very corner of the pan. I wasn't sure if it was done or not because some of it stuck to my toes and I had to shake my paw to get it off and some of it went on the walls and some of it went on the floor. I wasn't crazy about the taste of it but I'm glad I got to help and let Mom take a little break.

So today I'm just going to catch up with everybody and then I'm going to nap a whole lot. And then later get more turkey for dinner!

  1. We were so tired from helping mom with the cooking, by the time the bird came out we were all sound asleep.

  2. Happy Thanksgiving. We were furry tired too but not too tired to eat the pieces of turkey we got!

  3. I'm glad you had a good Turkey Day William. The Grandpa gave us a whole turkey breast for ourselves. Of course the Doofi will devour it and there will be nothing left for the rest of us, but it's the thought that counts.

  4. Hi! It sounds like you were a big help to your mommy for Thanksgiving. You deserve lotsa turkey for that! Poor sissy, she doesn't sound like she had as much fun as you.
I'm pretty good with decorations. Mommy sprays them with something called "Bitter Apple" or citrus stink from the pet store so I don't usually mess with stuff twice.

  5. Our Momma and Daddy went to the Boys for bird day, about 8 miles from here, so we didn't even get to sample any! Momma brought potatoes that were nice (sweet potatoes) and they had pee-cans on top. They come home in a snowstorm and said it was a white world.

  7. Poor Caroline. She was probably remembering when she had to fend for herself. You just have to tell she doesn't have to do it anymore.

  12. You were very lucky to get that turkey carcass, William. Mom fed me turkey pieces by hand and that was very nice. She gave some to Bathsheba, but she only ate one piece and decided that was enough. Silly girl! I like lots of turkey!

As for desserts, Mom knows that she can't leave them out on the counter to cool because I have to test them.

  13. Hey William
Really glad you had a good turkey day!

I always thought a dessert is not desserted until it had a paw print on it.

  16. Cook??? You've got to be kidding, William! We felines are TASTERS, not cookers. I hope that after slaving away over your lemon squares you at least got a big hunk of turkey for yourself ... Humans, bah!
