Goodbye November.

It was about 17 degrees this morning, which is way colder than usual and way way colder than it was just a few days ago. We even got about a half-inch of snow overnight. When Mom got up, the heat was already on and Eddie had already staked out the best toasty spot in the house. That is, until my sisters and I piled into Mom's room and found the best best best toasty spot and a comfortable place too! We were all on top of the pillows on the bed and enjoying the warmth from the register right there. Oh, it was wonderful. We lounged and visited and napped.

But then, when Mom was getting ready to leave to hunt, she made us all leave! Now, I don't ordinarily talk a lot but I was pretty cross about having to get up. It doesn't seem fair that we're banned from her bedroom during the day just because Eddie's been known to yak on the bed once or twice. Or because someone's chewed on the blinds a few times. Or let himself and one of the girls into the closet. Or pulled stuff out of the dresser drawers. Really, I just don't see where it's fair.

  1. Well really. Your Mom can't hold that stuff against you. After all, you guard the room for her too, don't you? The rule is, everything belongs to the Cats.

  2. Not fair. If that is the warm place to be, your mum needs to let you be in her bedroom.

  4. You need to inform your Mom that poodies are allowed all ofur the house in ALL the rooms. We had to straighten our Dad out about this. ~Merlin, Shadow, Ko Ko

  5. Sounds like Eddie needs to have a live-in nanny and the rest of you should be able to go where you want, when you want.

    Eddie. What a trouble-maker!

  8. Haddy just turned around today and said "90% of this house belongs to CATS!"

My answer was ... "don't like it? well move, no one is asking you to stay! Just remember to pay the rent and don't let the door hit you on the butt out :)"

Hmmmm I guess it's a good thing that he and Hummy cannot understand cat other wise I would have prolly upset them a little.

  9. That isn't fair, William. You shouldn't be kept out of the best, toastiest place in the house when it's this cold.

  10. Wow, William....you actually visit with your sisters?

Momma moved me from the bed this morning, and I got real cross, and put my legs straight out, and yowled..then I found out she was feeding the vacuum and didn't want to "stress me." So, that was OK.

  11. Doesn't your Mom know not to come between an cat and a warm, snuggly spot? Really William you should have a serious talk with her. And if that does not work, whack her on the head and put the bitey on something.

  13. i think maybe your Mom should call my Mom. when my Mom leaves to go whereever it is she goes, we get to stay in bed in the fluffy covers. plus, plus, she turns the gooseneck lamp on and points it at the bed so we can have hot head. heaven!!

  14. Wow...banned from the bedroom? MY bed is in there! I'd be really ticked!

The Woman doesn't make their bed because Buddah likes to squish in between these 2 big body pillows during the day. It would be really funny if he yakked something up with he was there...
