Set Your Dove On Stun.

Well, one of my dove friends flew into the kitchen window this evening. How crazy is that? We have these little panes in that window, so how could he not figure it out? Plus, the reflection isn't the sky, it's the patio!

Now, Mom put up stuff on the storm door to remind birds not to fly into it and we haven't had any doves bouncing off it since. But we can't do that on the kitchen windows, because how could I visit with all my other buds? That cuckoo dove was OK, but really. I'm thinking maybe there were "special" seeds in that last batch.

  2. Oh your momma must clean so well that they can't see the glass. Either that or there are some "special" seeds out there...

  4. Did the birdie get killed? How sad. Birdies aren't so smart I don't think.

  5. My Momma says birds have a brain the size of half a kitty krunchie while we possess a brain the size of half a walnut. That's why we are so smart and they fly into windows!!

  6. Scrappy--no, he didn't get killed, he just left a big old dove print on the glass. Kitkatknit's right--and I think the bigger the bird, the more slow-witted. I mean, none of my finch or sparrow pals ever fly into things.

  7. We had a cardinal who kept trying to fly through the front storm door. It had us all worried! Sounds like your dove was okay (?)

And congrats for being listed as a Cat Lovers Blog on http://cats.about.com/od/blogs/
