Busy Afternoon.

So first I had to scare away a great big alien cat out of my back yard this afternoon. I just got right up into the window and told him to go away. And he did. I don't know where he came from or what he wants, but he better not be eyeballing my friends, either. I will get very cross if he does.

Later, my new bird friend from yesterday came back to visit and have a late lunch. His name is Martin. I forgot to ask what kind of a bird he is, though. Sophia said she thought he might be a quail, but I'm not sure. I thought he might be a giant woodpecker, but I don't know about that either. I had Mom look in our birds of NM book but none of the squillion birds in it looks like him. So maybe Victor's right–he's a tabby!

  1. I hope the alien cat isn't coming to get your birdies.

Mum gotted her birdie book out, since she can't see how long the legs are she isn't sure. But your area is a place where birdies fly through to go south. But she really couldn't pick out a good match.

  2. We have rude cats here, too. I haven't seen one yet, but I can smell them in the air, just like at the last place.

Maybe they're aliens, too, that would explain why they're so rude...

  3. I putted my response on yesterdays. You have a Gilded race of the Common Flicker. I had my staff research it and there are 5 birds listed on that page of our bird book and my human has seen three of them. I like to surround myself with a knowledgeable support team. Check yesterday's comments for more info.

  4. William, is Olivia's kangaroo missing? My Mom seems to have a kangaroo now. So I was kinda wondering if she'd gotten hold of Olivia's.

  6. You have the best bird updates Wm. Keep those alien cats out of your yard. They probably flew in on the UFO. ~Merlin, Shadow, KO kO

  8. He looks a bit like a pigeon to me, but then again...they all just look like protein-rich food.

  9. Oh lucky you to watch birdies and find out what they are. Mostly we have squirrels!

  10. Oh, I am sorry you are being bothered by an Evil Intruder Kitty, William. I am being plagued by Small Black Kitties (no offence to you) so I know just how you feel.

  11. You tell him, William. I sit in the window and GROWL when any invader cat, dog or person comes in my yard. Mom thinks it's funny that I growl at the guy checkin the utilities... but I say, you can't be too careful.

  13. Once when Mommy had the door open except for the "spring door" (that's what I think they call it), a strange white cat appeared right outside the door. For a minute I thought I was looking into a mirror, except she was very furry! Then she ran away.

How dare alien cats come into our yards?
