What Time Is It, Anyway.

Mom was 20 minutes later than usual for lunch today, and you know what happened? When she came in, she didn't even get to call out "Hi, boys!" before Eddie went running–running–up to her all mad and yelled at her. Yelled! MOM I'M STARVING WHERE HAVE YOU BEEN FEED ME NOW YOU NEED TO FEED ME AND I WANT TO EAT NOW YOU'RE LATE!

When Eddie gets all wound up about his baby food, I just stay out of his way. Even Caroline–who also answers to the "Hi, boys!" call because she obviously thinks this is an all-purpose greeting when it really isn't duh–didn't come out to see Mom until Eddie was face-first in his food.

  1. It is best just to stay out of Eddie's way. No fights, just let him get his tummy fed.

P.S. Caroline may not realize she is a girl kittie. Maybe you gotta tell mom to say "Hi Boys and Girls"

  2. Yep, get outta the way sounds smartest. Not good to get between a hungry Eddie and his food.

  3. We agree with Derby. It's best not to get between a guy and his food, 'specially when he's STARVING 'cause lunch is 20 minutes late!

That's why Mom calls us "Crew", so we all answer!

  4. Mom always calls out "Hi Everybody" when she come home. She has to include all the guinea pigs and those are boys & girls. Eddie sounds like a maniac. Don't get run over!

  5. It's nice of you to defer to Eddie's needs. You are a sensitive boy, Squilliam, which is merely one of the reasons I have a crush on you...

  6. I think it's furry nice that you get out of Eddie's way. Of course, I can understand as I wouldn't want to get in Chey's way of food!

  7. I agree completely with Derby. I try telling this to Isis all the time, but she never listens.

  9. I wouldn't get in Eddie's way. He might decide that your tail looks like an appetizer! And as we all know from Kukka and Brach's post, tails are important for many, many things...

  12. When the Mom comes home she calls out "hello little ones." Usually the Doofi are by the door and they get a special hug and kiss too. Suck ups.
